FreeBSD Stops at DVD+rw Detection

Im am trying to install FreeBSD 4.10, and It keeps 'Stopping' and not going any further at the point of My DVD+RW drive. Is there a way to completly stop the software from looking at this.

I have waited like 30min to see if it would continue but it doesnt, thanks!

guipenguin; hum seems as a bios config, or conflict. check hardware interface with that of os,s. sorry not a bsd user just interested in knowing about it. read about it & is similar to linux but not close(unix) oppositions.

I don't know if DVD+RW drives UDMA, although you might want to check your BIOS and see if it does have that enabled for your DVD+RW drive. My hard drive had UDMA enabled, and it would not let FreeBSD 4.10 boot to install. By the way, if this is enabled turn it off.
