FreeBSD Ports> Limewire Error

EDIT: Problem fixed
my distinfo file had incorrect information regarding size and md5 of the file, which is why it would not work.

Hi,
its good that you have solved your problem but it would have been better to let your question there on forum and instead of editing that, answering it properly in the next post.

regards

When I install limewire, I get the LimeWireOther.zip file and place it in /usr/port/distfiles then do
Code:
#make NO_CHECKSUM=yes install clean
It usually works fine for me.

ruudra,

I was describing a way that solved my problem, I got the zip file, from www.limewire.org. got in a directory, did compile, and now it works [just read 'readme' for instructions and is a 'run' in gui folder, you have to run compile in this folder also], after that, you just do ./run in that folder, and u have limewire
