Hi,
I've now installed my freeBSD 5.3, I had a slack and this is the first time
with a O.S. BSD.
I'll suppose it's very similar to Linux but i can0t install the eciadsl driver.
I've download the source from eciadsl.flashtux.org and the source of a libpusb
(I belive is a dirver for usb port !!) but when i try to install it,
i've the follow message:
...
checking for ...
checking for ...
checking for pusb_endpoint_open in lpusb ... no
*** libpusb library is missing
No, it's a driver for hardware. Userland code that doesn't interface the kernel isn't always portable between BSD and Linux. Anything that deals with hardware almost certainly isn't unless the author has made it so.
At any rate, reading the install document on their website, it says *BSD isn't supported, but in the works.
You'd probably be better off asking on their mailing list, as there will almost certainly be more people there than here that will have the information/experience to help.
