Forced Full Screen Web Broswer Terminal

Hi,
I am on a mission to create a broswer that is perminantly opened in a full screen that is inclosable. I wish to build off freeBSD with xwindows. Any advice and directions to point me to?

Thank you very much; this is greatly needed. This project is for my local high school and I wish to get started in the correct directions.

Welcome to LQ.

You can set something like this up by running firefox in the root window of X. If you want to remove the url entry bar etc you can just edit the chrome files.

you do this by creating a .xinitrc with this
exec mozilla

at the end of the .tcshrc, bashrc or profile of whichever shell you use, add a new line at the end with
exit

when the user login he will only see a fullscreen mozilla and when he will try to close the window, he will be kicked out :-)

You could also run Mozilla/Firebird/Firefox in kiosk mode.
