dual booting between Linux and FreeBSD

I have FreeBSD installed on the master drive and installed Linux on the slave drive. I mistakenly installed grub over the mbr on the First drive and can not boot FreeBSD. I've been reading documentation on grub, trying to figure out what to do to be able to boot FreeBSD from grub. How do I do this?

Thanks in advance.

I'm using Debian and it doesn't have either menu.lst or a grub.conf. It does however have a grub.cfg file. I just wanted to make sure this is the right file to edit before modifying the file

@doughyi8u

So You probably have GRUB2 instead of GRUB1, check this:

When I run update-grub should it come back saying a kernel image is found for FreeBSD? It finds a kernel image and an initrd image.

I figured this out. grub2 uses the first partition starting w/ 1 (so hd0,0 will not work). I used chainloader +1 and it works fine. thanks for the help
