displaying space available for ftp client (OpenBSD)

Hello everyone!
Hope that everyone's holidays went well.
Anyway, my question is how and where would I be able to output the available disk space, total disk space, and other useful information each time a user changes dir, uploads/downloads a file, etc, when using ftp.
Note that I'm running v3.6 of OpenBSD (I'm not running ftp, I'm running sftp which should be obvious, but just wanted to clear that up) and that I've searched all resources exhaustively and this is my last resort.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Eugene

Well, it turns out that actually no one could answer my question except for one person (that I knew of). I e-mailed Theo, and he answered my question. For sake of completeness and to add to the record of this forum for future searches;
There is no way to do what I want (which is mentioned above), I would have to program that by hand.
