BSDs averse to UEFI
Have tried to install FreeBSD and GhostBSD to flash drive. Success with GhostBSD but not with FreeBSD and this with non-UEFI (i.e. CSM) mode and Secure boot disabled (64 bit system). These are 10.2 and 10.1 respectively. When I attempt to install under UEFI and secure boot disabled I get a Trap 12 error. Confused why the live cd is id'd as UEFI but won't boot that way. Suggestions?

Did you create the usb like this? https://wiki.freebsd.org/UEFI
Be sure to use the correct naming for locations. I did wonder about why GhostBSD worked. Did you test FreeBSD md5? |
Why not the latest production release of FreeBSD? You might want to have a look at the release notes:
