BSD socket filter problem

I have installed rtai on a standard linux kernel 2.4.20, since I've installed it I can't connect to the internet. On start up, when the PC is checking the eth0 link, I get the message "kernel doesn't support BSD socket filter...... reconfigure". I've tried everything but nothing works. Can someone please help me, cause I can't find it.

Thanks in advance,
