apache (vhost) + ruby on rails = problems

I am tring to setup a vitural host for a site the was dev with ruby on rails.
Things that I have done:
-configure fcgi in httpd.conf
-edited the .htaccess
-updated hieraki

my error message is:
[Thu Jan 5 21:50:08 2006] [error] (2)No such file or directory: exec of /usr/home/mhale/hieraki-2.0.1/public/dispatch.cgi failed
[Thu Jan 5 21:50:08 2006] [error] [client] Premature end of script headers: /usr/home/mhale/hieraki-2.0.1/public/dispatch.cgi

I found this information on the error message, but don't know what to do with it:

"The "Premature end of script headers" error message is probably the most loathed and common error message you'll find.
What the error actually means, is that the script stopped for whatever reason before it returned any output to the web server.
A common cause of this for script writers is to fail to set a content type before printing output code."

any suggestions, looking for any help.
