There doesn't appear to be any linux support for this device. The w!ndos support isn't much better. Don't buy one of these no matter what OS you use.

Kernel (uname -r): ubuntu 2.6.15-25-386 #1 PREEMPT Wed Jun 14 11:25:49 UTC 2006 i686 GNU/Linux
Distribution: Dapper

Works well with Ubunto "Dapper LTS" except for the remote which I haven't been able to make work as yet. Works well with TVTIME and XAWTV, with TVTIME my preference. Video quality is excellent using cable TV source. Was necessary to use a finetune offset of "+6" for all channels to make color work, otherwise it was B/W display. Channel changing uses both keyboard numerical entry, up/down arrows, or mouse scroolwheel. Sound will require initiating the command "sox -t ossdsp -r 128000 -b -c 1 /dev/dsp1 -t ossdsp /dev/dsp" AFTER TVTIME is started. This USB Pinnacle device is automatically detected when plugged into a USB2 port. USB1 is too slow and will NOT work at all. My computer is an IBM Thinkpad T21 with a pcmcia Dynex USB2 adapter. Will report back when I figure out how to make the remote control operate.
