I have bought this laptop as second-hand, but it condition is very good - it prooves that the Tecras are rather tought.
Ubuntu is working fine with it almost out of the box, I only had to do a little adjustment to get a video driver working see here for details. Also need vga=792 boot option at menu.lst to correct display position.
