Description:

Installed on a new HP DV5215US laptop with AMD64, Broadcom WLAN and Synaptics touch pad mouse.
Installation and partitioning was smooth and relatively fast compared to previous SuSe versions.
Unable to get WLAN working using provided bcm43xx drivers, so tried ndiswrapper. YAST indicated there were too many unresolvable dependencies to allow ndiswrapper to be installed, so WLAN is not an option.
Touch pad behaviour erratic when browser opened - freezing and then going berserk. Tried a re-install using the 32 bit version and this was worse. (Noticed the same with MEPIS 7.0Beta4-maybe a kernel problem)
Unable to install Linuxant drivers for ATI winmodem, and PCMCIA card not detected.
Opted instead for PCLinuxOS 2007 and have none of the above problems.
