OK just a FYI !!!
I'v done a full install on a HP Pavilion XE763 700MHz 256RAM box with a lynksys 10/100 lan card for net.
after doing the ulupdate and updating the HAL suport as discribed hear

then inabeling the loopback as discribed hear (for mounting iso's on hard drive)

and adding digicam and it's nesesarey libs I'v got a verey funktional and stable OS :D
at least for my purposes witch are enjoying musick and vidio (havent run acros a unsuported type yet) and if your into the torrent thing ;) it comes with bittorrent witch works fine ( I added Ktorrent I like more GUI ) burning cd's k3b dose the job well ( allthow some burners arnt suported by cdrecord ) but somthing like nerolinux usualy will !!! transfuring picks and vid from my digital camera. ( thats wut the digicam addition wus for and it works fine as well )
I run my own webserver apache that is witch wus allredy working all I had to do wus add content to the dir. it serves from /var/www/htdocs and wala I had a webpage Cool http://14u.kicks-ass.org/ (thars some screensots hear)..
I do some paper work & time sheats for work. openoffice.org comes standerd and CUPS prints it all fine.......and OF corse webbrousing you have firfox,Dillo,Flock,and of corse Konqueror KDE's file manager webbrowser medea viewer doit all heck it even makes html photo galerey's for ya :cool:
so all in all I'd half to say GOOD job agin Multima

and to eney body looking to try a linux distro this ones a good one to try sence a lot of stuff you'd half to add on uther distros works out the box hear
at least that's how it wus for me until I landed hear and aparentley stuck :p

If you're looking for a Slackware-based live-DVD that has about everything you could want, ready to go, this is it! Similar to Sabayon, but unfortunately, Sabayon is based on Gentoo. The only thing that would be a huge improvement for Ultima is if the base was switched to debian.
