Pros: A great distro now has a great desktop
Cons:

I shanít repeat what I said in my last review of PCLinuxOS 13.04: Iíll just look at the Mate version.

I usually say that itís best to stick to the default desktop (try Xfce on Fedora or SUSE to see why) but this is a really successful respin. The software selection is small (but stable): Firefox (with Flash), Pidgin, Thunderbird, Skype, Clementine, VLC (with codecs), and Great Little Radio Player (great fun). For office software you have to get the complete LibreOffice from the Document Foundation (PCLOS doesnít keep it in the repository) but a special tool is provided. This requires you to update the system first: updating (251 packages!), installing LibreOffice, and then getting Hunspell and a dictionary took three times longer that installing the distro had, but there were no problems.
