Pros:
|
Written with a very clean style, and attention to detail
|
|
Cons:
|
Thinner cover than most paperbacks, and not quite so good as a reference

Why I like this book:
-Avaliable online for free
-What he covers is some things that most people have a harder time grasping when they first learn the language - 100+ pages devoted to templates, etc.
-A lot of info for the price
-Exemplary accuracy - I haven't found 1 typo in the example programs
What I dislike about this book
-Cover design not so good as volume 1
-Thin cover - feels cheap
-Written with Word XP
-Font used is harder on my eyes than some books(obviously because they used some m$ font ;) )
-Due to the tutorial style of this book, I might have to look through a bit more fluff to get an answer if used as a reference
However, most of the dislikes, although there are a few, are really very small problems, and I would still HIGHLY recommend this book
you can get the book for free from www.MindView.net - that's his website, and he meant it to be free
note that after reading it onscreen for awhile, you will probably find yourself wanting the book in printed form, as I did, so beware if you are short on cash...
