Description:

If you are comfortable with Microsoft and the way a lot of the books for the MCSE and MSC tests are written, then this is the linux newbie guide for you.
This book covers both the CLI (command line or cmd line) instructions for Linux as well as the GUI (graphical interface) commands. There is enough information here to get you well on your way and to help you ask the right questions in places like LinuxQuestions.org.
on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being perfect book for a linux newbie i would rate this 7.5. no higher as i wanted to get more details out of the server section of this book, but as for knowing how to get around and some of the basic why's they are all there.
The book comes with 2CDs containing RH9 and some source code that the www.wrox.com group uses that you can also download from their URL.
