Description: Lorma Linux was developed to be i686 friendly. the web sit is http://www.linux.lorma.edu/ for full description.

Lorma installed easily, found my periferals and activated them. I can play my music, VideoCDs and DVDs whithout additional software. It may take some fiddling to get Xine and Mplayer to work. This beginner did it, you can. My HP5550 printer printed the first time I clicked on a print icon. My US Robotics serial, external modem worked fine from the begining.

I went through, Mandrake, Mepis, Knoppix and several others.

When I get MythTv and IvTv installed, I'll be a happy camper.
