Pros: Update software
Cons: Require some knowledge to handle, , Cutting edge

Many people have very BAD aspect with Debian Sid

like an early-alpha-software

Sid isnt that bad

however its unstble as its name

almost the only point u need to worry sid (for common user)
is
whenever the new-version-package is update
thats means
there're NEW version of bugs too, or even the NEW bug
never seen before.

if u have some knowledge , and like facing bugs then this's yours distro

Not recommand to newbie, u 'd better try testing instead
since

Pros: The best packaging software in Linux - apt
Cons: Sometimes the Hardware needs a little more flexibility than the Debian phylosofy permits and this means *some* hardware will work in other distros and not in a Debian machine.

SID is UNSTABLE ... but the Debian system is so good there is even a Distro called Sidux that uses it as it's STABLE base :) Of course it is a separated distro, with some changes, but even so.

Strongly reccomended that a MS-Win user go for Debian STABLE first or at the most the TESTING version, leave SID for when you are more confortable with text-line configuration ;)
