If there's one thing AIX isn't short of it is documentation. Between the standard IBM documentation and the redbooks, pretty much everything you could want to know is there.
Still, you do have to know where to look. What this book provides is a really good "how-to" guide covering everything that an AIX administrator needs to know to run the system. It's laid out very clearly and is simple to follow.
The only downside is that it is starting to look a bit dated. Pretty much everything that works for AIX 4.1 (the newest version covered in the book) still works on the current AIX versions 5.1 and 5.2; but these new versions have a lot of new capabilities (of course) and the reader should be aware of these.
