Elive is great distribution based on Debian Etch with great future. It offers E16 and E17 window managers that are light and fast, E16 being very stable and E17 being very attractive. It is based on Debian, so you have full Debian repositories with a lot of additional applications. I think that this distro is great for advanced users, but also for beginners, because it has great support for multimedia, internet and office out of the box and together with synaptic packaging system it is easy to use. Version 0.6.9 is unstable, but you can download older stable version Elive Revolution RL2.

I like this distro very much from the first moment I installed it.
