SUSE Linux 10.0 includes a comprehensive selection of applications to facilitate a wide variety of computing tasks (office suite, e-mail, Internet, picture processing, multimedia and more), plus a subset of packages for advanced users, including key networking and development packages such as Samba, Apache Web server, KDevelop, Mono and more. SUSE Linux is available in 32-bit and 64-bit versions and provides more than 4,000 of the latest open source software packages.

Would you recommend the product? yes | Price you paid?: None indicated | Rating: 7

Pros: Easy to use, smooth and friendly installation.
Cons: Hardware issues (especially with intel 900 GMA's)



Suse 10.0 is excellent for beginners, as it has excellent GUI features, and the Yast module makes life really easy for all.
The cons were that Suse has serious compatibility problems when it comes to certain intel GMA. For example, it wouldn't let my intel 900 GMA do anything more than 1280x1024@60 Hc (though its perfectly capable for more.)
I also think that Suse is not a good server OS option. FC is much better in that regard.
