Kororaa
In all my linux and gentoo experience, I love this product the most.
I love gentoo the most as a matter in fact, which is the same thing as kororaa.
------
First I want to start by posting the differences between the kororaa guided installer and precompiled system, compared to gentoo.
-----
GENTOO (pros)
-----
* Lightning quick and stable distribution
* Portage, tons of up-to-date packages in portage, it is more powerful than apt-get (10,000+ pkgs, everything you'll need)
* Options, gentoo is all about choice, compile a system from stage1, or get a prebuilt tarball.
Also get prebuilt pkg cd, or get the latest packages from portage and compile them
* Customizded, installing gentoo, particulary from stage1, gives you control, and gets you a distribution, the way you like it.
-----
GENTOO (cons)
-----
* Long- can be painful installation
* Nothing is done for you, you have to partition, setup and compile the kernel, emerge a bootloader, setup fstab, and much more all manually.
* Can take awhile to get it completely optimized to your liking.
------
In a lots of situations, people have had complaints about installing gentoo, such as times when... (They lose their hard drive somehow, and they want a reinstall), (They want to upgrade to the latest stage tarball, they don't want to wait all the hours it takes, and much other reasons)
------
Here's where kororaa comes into play
------
KORORAA (pros)
------
* Guided installer, does ALL of the configuring for you (fstab, grub, kernel, packages, alsa, etc) - not done in gentoo
* KDE 3.4.2, Xorg 6.8.2 (some of the LATEST packages, all preinstalled)
* It includes about 250 packages, and about 30-40 main system and extra system packages.
* One CD - One Download
* Very fast (latest) stage3 tarball (theres reasoning behind it, i dont know what) -so far it's only avaliable as x86 (pentium 3, but works with all systems)
* Install does not take too horribly long.
* Kororaa-Sources-2.6.13
* Compatible with ALL gentoo packages
-----
There ARE bugs in Kororaa 2005.1 Beta1, such as reiser4 (use reiserfs), and grub in the MBR (config is written incorrectly, i fixed this issue with ease in the gentoo livecd environment
-----
I rate it 10/10 for beta software, gentoo is 10/10, this is certainly 10/10 as well, very great product here, worth a try.

There are some plans for this project (AMD64, package selection, possibly gensplash, raid, gnome, )
-----
Now there are other alternatives such as VLOS (a anaconda gentoo installer) however, this costs money, and the free version includes few, and less-updated packages, gentoo incompatibility (unlike kororaa), and some other things I could pick at.
But I'm not putting down the distribution, I admire every single linux distribution (except ones that arent open-source, and aren't free)
------
Definitely look into kororaa, I don't care who you are :)
