Pros: very clean layout
Cons: can't think of any

I had been using debian and gentoo for a while, but I couldn't feel 100% satisfied with my linux box till I came across this distro... the base system is the bare minimum you need to boot up your machine and start compiling away, it comes with a bsd-like port system which works reasonably well, and which is very easy to contribute to. All binary packages are compiled with simplicity in mind. This distro is great for those who can't bear with the hassle of going thorugh a LFS build but still want to have full control on their system. A great piece of work in my opinion, and a great starting point for any power user.
