Micro Mart started life as a free adverts paper for computers, but has increased its articles and nowadays has a few columns for Linux. These are Linux Mart for more experienced users, Beginners Linux for newbies, and Ask JC, for help with Linux problems.
It also features articles from time to time in its main areas which are positive towards Linux and also Windows versions of OS software (Openoffice, Gimp, Mozilla etc etc).
It has loads of adverts, and many dealers will quote prices without an Operating System.
It asks for user reviews of software, I submitted one for Scribus and they used it! It ran a recent article on alternatives to Microsoft Office, and in the course of putting OpenOffice at the top of the pile, pointed out that it ran on Linux and Windows and looks identical in both (thereby preparing people to switch).
It's not all great, recently it did an article on the ATi/nVidia debate, without mentioning Linux, or even the difference between DirectX and OpenGL game performance within Windows!
Still it needs to be encouraged. It has got people interested in Linux, it's not simply preaching to the converted. And that's a good thing!
