Pros:

A good and up-to-date studyguide on LPI certification

Cons:

Not perfect for a complete Linux newbie.

The first thing that strikes me reading this book is that it really IS a cramming book.
It has a number of nice features:
It takes you through the testing procedure
Gives good study tips
Has a lot of "exam alerts" regarding the tricky parts of the exam
Preps you for both the RPM and DPKG version of the test
This is the book thats my main study guide for my upcoming LPI test.
Bad stuff:
The follow-up questions at the end of each chapter has the answers right below the question which makes them difficult to use without peeking at the answers. a separate page for all the answers would have been better.
Unconfirmed bad stuff: Amazon readers warns about a buggy setup of the exam simulation CD.
