Description: BeatrIX Linux is a compact (less than 200MB) operating system aimed at both office and home users who want something simpler, safer and superior to Microsoft Windows, and that will run on just about any IBM-compatible PC made in the past 10 years. It runs as a live CD or it can be installed to hard drive.

Pros: GNOME, lots of software in small space
Cons: none, really

Beatrix, to me, is sort of like GNOPPIX on a diet. It's perfect for me. It has GNOME, Firefox, and Open Office. Everything I need in 200 MB. I really like it because I can carry around a working Linux distro with my laptop. I take this and KNOPPIX. Plus I'm on dialup :( and I can get this over night. Plus I'm a cat lover.

Pros: Looks good
Cons: I could not connect to internet

Cannot connect if the modem is on ttyS4 only.
This means that to those of us using the usr5610b modem, this OS needs an update.
