Foresight also includes the polished and refined long-term support 3.4 Linux kernel. Pros: Reliable once you get it to work
Cons: but too many loose ends for comfort

The last time I tried Foresight, I had some problems: the wrong keyboard and locale were set, and the package manger (the mysterious Conary) had problems, but eventually I got a working system.

This time I never got beyond installation. It seems that a new bug prevents Foresight loading when double-booted with another Linux, unless you put its own bootloader (the equally mysterious ExtLinux) on the MBR, which I am not prepared to do.

PS March 2014. The server for the user forum has been down for 2 months. I get the feeling that this distro may be in trouble.

PPS November 2014. As from version 3, Foresight will cease to be rolling-release, American, and independent; it will become biennial, Swedish, and based on Red Hat.
