I switched to Xandros from RedHat 9.0. The Xandros desktop is very easy to use and configure. The Xandros File Manager, which is unique to this distro, is a fantastic tool. It is much like Windows Explorer, but WAY better. You can use it to browse files, move/copy files and directories, and even FTP and HTTP connect to sites on the Internet. The Windows VFAT partitions I have on my harddrive were autodetected and automounted too, so I can get to all of my Windows files from with Xandros (read/write access). The Xandros File manager has made me much more productive under Linux.
The Xandros install went flawlessly. I dual-boot Xandros with Windows XP, and Xandros detected the Windows XP partitions and set up the dual-boot LILO stuff automagically.
Xandros Networks, another great feature of the product, lets you download and install new apps in APT-GET and/or RPM format, as well as apply fixes from Xandros with little effort.
This is the best Linux distro I've seen yet; it is especially easy to use for folks transitioning from Windows. CrossOver, which is bundled with Xandros Linux, lets you use certain Windows Apps right under Linux (Microsoft Office, Quicken). I have not used it yet but I intend to.
I heartily recommend this Linux distro.
