This was a bit of a decline from the high standards of the last version. I may be in a minority, but I need an email client; I've never considered Midori a good browser, although it is small; the new video player which had problems with wmv files.
The software sources program was set up to use US mirrors and any attempt to alter this, or get it to find the fastest mirror, caused it to lockup. When I finally used Synaptic to install another media player, I found some surprising failures in dependency resolution. Of course, that's an Ubuntu problem.
If you want a LXDE distro, and are afraid of Salix with its Slackware base, then the choice is between WattOS, Lubunbtu, and Mint; Mint probably has the edge in reliability, but this is lighter.
