Linux Server Hacks is split up into 100 tips for Linux administrators.

These are split into a number of sections :

Some of these are simple tips (e.g. swap standard output and standad error). Others build up to more substantial topics (e.g. the revision control section covers all the basics of RCS and CVS).

The book assumes a basic level of Linux knowledge, but the instructions and explanations are clear. Commands and outputs are shown when needed.

As the title suggests, this isn't a comprehensive administration guide, and certainly isn't meant to be. I think most Linux people will find some new and interesting information.

The book is geared to be practical so, where information is new, it is probably things that anyone managing a Linux network of any size will find themselves making good use of the information.
