Major changes: updating the Portage trees has become much faster since we migrated on Git; binary repositories are better handled now that all changes are synchronized with Portage updates; support has been added for PXE network booting; from now on, you can specify the domain and the domain password when booting from a live CD or a live USB or via PXE; language and time zone preferences can now be specified for any newly created ISO image; software - Linux kernel 3.1.6, X.Org 7.4, KDE 4.7.4, GNOME 2.32, Chromium 16.0.912.63...."
