This is very difficult to review, save to say that you’ll like this if this is the sort of thing you like!
In principal, I should like it, as I’ve never really taken to the GUI. The problem is that the default key strokes are all unfamiliar. When I tried to close a window with Alt-F4, the screen cleared, but only because I’d moved to workspace 4; I should have used Ctrl-t+Ctrl-k. In practice, most desktops can be run from the keyboard: it’s the applications that make it difficult to do without the mouse.
Very little software is supplied, and that is often as unfamiliar as the desktop: I haven’t used a Commander-style file browser for years, and the Vimprobable browser lives up to its name. The media-player, Whaamp, won’t work, which is a rare occurrence for Salix.
