The first time I tried Absolute, I gave it an 8; the second, a 1. The basic problem is that it's the work of one man, and what you get is what works for him on his computer.

The old problem with Chromium has finally been resolved, but now the keyboard selector is broken and the file manager erratic.

There's a shortage of configuration tools (Icewm's IcePref is missing) and adding more software is also a problem. Absolute expects you to log in as root in order to carry out system tasks, or the tools simply don't appear in the menu. When you finally find the program installer, it turns out to be for packages you've already downloaded, presumably from Slackware.

Absolute needs a much effort to configure as its parent Slackware, without the reward of stability. If you want Slackware with an easy setup, get Salix. If you also have a small computer, get Vector Light.
