It's SOLID all-around! The Clusterware and Cluster Fie System Rock! Support for RDB/Infiniband makes Blazing Fast Clusters on Commodity hardware, and ASM can give you screaming fast I/O on commodity storage... All around A+. NOTE: Last time I posted a review and comment about EL5, I was spammed and even the LQ Admin and his Buddies slammed me - saying I was an Oracle Employee promoting the product. Think again, DW's. I'm an Executive IT Consutant - Freelance - and love Oracle's EL (and Solaris a little less). I recommend it to all my customers! you will not get FREE Clusterware and Cluster File System anywhere else...
