Description: White Box EL 3 has all the same look and feel as RHEL because essentally it is! The makers of WBEL took the source for RHEL and stripped out the RH items and let the ability to do updates and all the full functionality of RHEL3
Keywords: This is same as RHEL3 with all RH taken out.

Pros: Seems faster than RH9 and definitely faster than Fedora
Cons: Still looks like RH

First a confession - I like RedHat. RH8 and then 9 were my first 2 distros which stayed on the pc. I dislike Fedora. WhiteBox was recommended to me and so I finally installed it.

The install went very well - one thing, on the website it says you only need discs 1 and 2 - 3 is needed (or at least I needed it) even though it was only for the final 3 minutes of the install.

Everything you expect from RH is here, it's stable, it works, it looks good and it's free to download. No real downsides at all - unless you don't like RH products, of course.

Definitely recommended to people who want RH ES but don;t want to pay, to people who dislike Fedora but want to keep RH on the system and also to new users since RH products are great for new starters on Linux.
