Easy to configure, good hardware support

I considered using SuSE only for it is the one of two enterprise Linux systems available on the market, and support is on the first place if purchased, unlike RHEL where the new rules keep user on a tight rope.
But now, for any new workstation I would think twice regarding SuSE. If one is to choose, it seems Windows 7 is about to go beyond SuSE Enterprise. So it makes any passionate professional Linux user stick to RHEL or at least to it's free descendant CentOS.
For desktop users, SuSE is a good match, especially for those more familiar with Windows.
In spite it's good stability and fine performance, the popularity of SuSE started to descend mainly due to changes in the development directions and concepts towards Microsoft.
Let us hope they will return to their roots, where they belong.

Pros:
Excellent configuration setup with Yast. Great looking KDE desktop.
Cons:
Frequent upgrade schedule.
OpenSuse concentrates on ease of install, and setup, for inexperienced Linux users. The Yast control panel makes device and software setup easy to understand.
There's lots of software to choose from, and install/uninstall is simple. Good distro for the home desktop user, as well as configuring it as a production server.
