Absolute Linux can be described as Slackware without the aggravation.
The creator, Paul Sherman, has produced a 2-CD package which contains a good selection of software for a family PC, and then added user-friendly installation and configuration programs. Extra programs can be installed from the Slackware repository using the package manager. The window manager is Icwwm.
This distro is also suitable for older computers; e.g. memory usage
