This review is for SLED 11.
I have used extensively SLED 10 and that worked superbly as a Windows-workstation replacement. It was a serious contender in the business and SOHO markets. With SLED 11's release it appears that Novell has listened to customers and put together a thoroughly tested and outstanding product bringing many improvements over the previous version.
While some may criticize SLED of its slim package selection it should be noted that this isn't openSUSE with the thousands of packages available - it's a business desktop with the fat stripped from the bone leaving a lean and robust operating system ready to perform.
I am impressed enough by SLED 11 that I am seriously thinking about buying it for my home workstation. Although at a minimal $50 for media, documentation, and support how can you go wrong?
