A stable OS with good support (via forum)requires regular updates (weekly or fortnightly) but is very simple to do. As PcLinuxOs is continuously updated it is always bang up to-date. Software not in the repository (it is huge) seems easy to install as rpm. I have not marked this as excellent as in all OS.s there is always room for improvement but it sure comes the top for me. I attempt to try most distributions over time, if they crash on first install I consider them as not worth trying again until a new version comes out. Strangely enough I have as yet to get a straight UBUNTU to work first time! but have many of the derivatives. My system has 10 hard disks, 2 optical drives two sound cards, dual cpu's (Intel), gforce 9500GT video card, two mice and two keyboards, as well as trust wp8060 tablet. Works as a server in the background, desktop development in the foreground. All works well accept sound, fiddly to get working at times.
