double laptop as a wifi hotspot

I use fedora 17.

I was trying to go through the following article to setup a wifi hotspot:

http://nims11.wordpress.com/2012/04/...-access-point/

The first two things they've asked to try out I've tried and sharing the output here:

Code:

$ lspci -k | grep -A 3 -i "network"
02:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Centrino Wireless-N 130 (rev 34)
        Subsystem: Intel Corporation Centrino Wireless-N 130 BGN
        Kernel driver in use: iwlwifi
03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller (rev 06)

$ modinfo iwlwifi | grep 'depend'
depends:        cfg80211

Does this mean I cannot configure my hostapd? Is there an alternative way of setting up a wifi hotspot?

That release is obsolete. Please install Fedora 19 cleanly and migrate your documents and settings manually.

Unclear. See http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/iwlwifi and to check run
Code:

iw list
and search for a line that only reads "AP".

See http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.linu...s.hostap/27797 or else start by buying a card that's supported?
