Zenwalk slight issues

There is two issues that I have ran into after a fresh install. I am used to using WPA_supplicant for the network needs. So I decided to give the gui network connection a try and it works, but when you restart the machine connection does not happen automatically as selected. It will however if you do it by setting up wpa_supplicant. The second thing is that trying to connect to my server shares is nearly impossible. I have altered the smb.conf to reflect my connections but when going thru the fill manager. It acts as if it isn't doing anything. Or it times out while trying to make the connection. If these two things where addressed this could be my daily driver. Other than that it looks and feels amazing. Works outstanding out of the box all things considered.

I have the same issue with Slackware. Network Mgr I don't think works the same way as wpa_supplicant.

That good news.
Is that not what you want?

If so you will most likely have to tweak the configuration file for the Network Mgr for it to automatically connect.

I think wicd is pretty much the same thing that I've got going on with Slackware.

Sorry I won't be much help there.

The serviceconfig is a Zenwalk-specific tool to facilitate control over the installed services.

Slackware users can provide a bit more help with a distro like salixos.org.

After trying for a while I ended up going back to Slackware. I tried many things and could not get this working. The main thing was not being able to get this to communicate with an existing samba share. I will wait for the next release and try again thanks for helping me everyone.
