System crashes/freezes on ZenWalk with XCFE

Hi everyone, I have a very strange (and frustrating) problem:

I'm using XFCE 4.4.1 on ZenWalk 4.4.1 on a Toshiba Satellite 5200-801 laptop.

Well, while using ordinary software under X (I mean, in graphical mode), sometimes my machine randomly gets completely freezed and I have to press the reset button. I tried to find some information by reading system logs, but totally invain.

I noticed that this happens when trying to move sizebars in programs like gqview, or when I open the Terminal properties menu, or when I have something to do with images or GTK stuff in general. Please note that this is only my opinion, so it may be wrong at all.

Do you know what could be the reason of these odd crashes? Any kind of help would be really really appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

Cheers :-D
