SCSI controller is LSI/Symbios 53c1030 PCI-X Fusion-MPT Dual Ultra320 SCSI

According to the installer, the machine has no hard drive.....

I had a simiarl problem on my old IBM nefinity but the other way around. Slackware would not see my driver at first. Then I used scsi3.i and it found it just find but when I tried to run fdisk I got a segmentation fault. But when I ran Zenwalk it worked just fine.

The What kernel image are you using? Have you tried something like scsi3.i or scsi3.s (never can remember which one.)?
