The safest way is to open a terminal, su to root, then use 'removepkg'. To find the correct name of the package you want to remove, go to /var/log/packages and list the files there.

Netpkg will remove files, but I have known it also remove files that other software may depend on.

i have uninstalled lots of software using netpkg lately..
