A soft modem compatible with Red Hat 8, 9, Mandrake/Mandriva 10.1, Fedora 3, Suse 9.1, 9.2. Is there a way to make this work with Zenwalk Linux?

TIA

How does it work with other distros? It should be similar for Zenwalk.

Advertised to work with named distros. All I have to work with is Zenwalk. Unpacks drivers ok but errors out on 'make module'

What errors? Maybe you need the kernelsource package.

Downloaded kernel sources. Here is what happens when I run 'make module'. Am I missing a step?

root[~]# cd Desktop/softmodem/
root[softmodem]# make module
make -C /usr/src/linux/ SUBDIRS=/root/Desktop/softmodem modules
make: *** /usr/src/linux/: No such file or directory. Stop.
make: *** [module] Error 2
root[softmodem]#

it looks like the build script is expecting a linux directory (some do, some don't).
as root:
cd /usr/src
ln -s linux-`uname -r` linux

then:
cd ~/Desktop/softmodem
make module
...
