anybody having issues getting the gnutls 1.4.4 update that i just got today (10-27-06)?
Or, is it an issue with the repo, in general?
thanks
edit:
hmm? i do have the same issue on another machine and have found that it's not just the gnutls. i can't get any of the 5 updates for this machine, including firefox 2.0. are the servers just overloaded?

What you mean explain more. Pretty simple. I can't get the updates, period.
I think guth means that in order to help you - volunteering to do so, for free - he needs to know specifically what happens when you attempt to update.
Incidentally, I had a similar problem when I updated using gslapt yesterday. I used netpkg instead, where quite a few packages were installed. When I went back to gslapt later, it worked fine, but I think I had to change repositories first.
it must have been the servers, as i got all 5 of the updates with no problems at all earlier today on this machine.
why would anyone want to use both netpkg and gslapt? netpkg finds older packages that keeps wanting to downgrade things and then gslapt turns around and upgrades them again.
i'll stick with just gslapt. if i really screw something up, i'll go with the netpkg netpkg
netpkg upgrade-new
netpkg upgrade-config
why would anyone want to use both netpkg and gslapt?
One advantage of netpkg is it gives a repository list and gslapt doesn't. So, if one repository blips - for whatever reason - you simply choose another.
I've been using gslapt since it was introduced recently, but I was happy to see that netpkg has a new look. It seems JP is going to keep both, at least for now.
