Vector's A great distro.

My first successful (read usable out of the box) and my primary learning distro -- until I moved on to Slack. I still use Vector on a few older machines.

I'll have to check out 4.0.

This looks to be a good distro for a newbie like me. Can't wait to try it.

Vector's nice cause its small. I've only got a 1.7gig hd and the default install of Vector only took 400MBs. After installing things (Opera 7.21, gtk2, atk, pango, qt, mpg123, gaim, gtk-gnutella) I now have a little less than 900MBs left. I need monies for better puter.

Vector surely is a nice distribution especially for older machines.
Not many other distributions are that small yet contain a recent kernel, a
working GCC setup and a thoughtful selection of apps...and it flies

If I weren't a Peanut Linux man myself I'd probably use Vector.

You can download it from

http://www.linuxiso.org/distro.php?distro=28

Keep up the good stuff

cheers
