Were you using a different keyboard and mouse on this installed distro?
How was the old keyboard/mouse connected? USB or using keyboard port and ps/2 mouse port?

How is the new combo coneected now? USB or keyboard/mouse?

If it has a keyboard/ps2 mouse port and you are usinf the usb cable, swap it around and unplug the usb and use the seperate keyboard and mouse cables.

If you had a ps2 mouse before and using the usb cable then your /etc/X11/xorg.conf or similiar may need to be edited for the mouse to use the right device.

Hope this helps

well, to install it i used a keyboard plugged into the keyboard port, and the mouse i used a usb mouse, i did this because usually the usb keyboard and mouse never work when i install a linux distro

then i plugged in the keyboard and mouse combo AFTER installing to see if it worked (the keyboard and mouse combo use a single usb reciever) i was able to get the keyboard working, but the wireless mouse didnt work, neither did the usb mouse that was plugged in durring installation, so i plugged in a usb mouse and that works fine

for the conf file, what do i have to edit?
