cedarhillbilly LQ Newbie Registered: Aug 2004 Location: NE Ohio Distribution: Suse 9.1 Posts: 2 Rep:	problems with GK dial I got Vector 4.3 up and running on an antique AMD K-6/266 after some struggles over partitions. Problem is setting up GK dial so I can access my dial up account. I saw a posting from last year with the same sort of questions. When I create an account in GK Dial, I get a posting advising me that I'm not root (but I am). Then it creates the account, but i'm immediately disconnected. I've tried a number of different variations on the user name, but I don't think that's the problem. I googled GK Dial but came up pretty empty except for the 2003 posting on Linux Questions. Thoughts on what I'm doing wrong?
