Distribution: Vector Linux 5.1 Std., Vector Linux 5.8 Std., Win2k, XP, OS X (10.4 & 10.5)
According to the Vectorlinux read me files you have to partition the hard drive before installing Vectorlinux. I would suggest that you use Gparted to partition your hard drive and then proceed to install Vector on your machine.
The read me files on the .iso should tell you more about what you need to do to install the OS.
Please keep in mind that Vector is developed to operate on older computer configurations. If your machine is of a more recent manufacture then you may wish to consider trying another distro that can more closely match your computer's age.
You can also ask questions on the Vectorlinux forum should you have any problems in your attempt to install the OS. Vectorites are a rather friendly bunch in my opinion.
